November was a crazily busy month for me. I contracted at TribalDDB in Auckland for the month, working on a few projects, but mainly this Call for Entries website for the Axis 09 awards. In addition to the website, I put together a multiplayer facebook game so people could play games of Top Trumps (with Ad agency peeps as the cards) against each other. The site runs along-side a sticker-collection game, where the first to get a set wins a Macbook Air, second wins an iphone. Not bad huh!
Since I’d been doing mainly iPhone and Flex stuff in 2008, it was my first pure-Flash site in ages, and I had a great time making it in actionscript 3. After the objective-C stuff, I found it to be a piece of cake! The facebook stuff went really smoothly too. The site needs a couple of optimisation/performance passes, which the Tribal guys are working on at the moment, but otherwise I’m pretty happy with what I made.
Looking forward to the xmas break though… just winding up the rest of my stuff now.
